Composer

He studient at Escola de Música de Barcelona under Frederic Alfonso (violin), Manuel Viscasillas (harmony and counterpoint), and Enric Morera and Antoni Nicolau (composition). After winning the Maria Barrientos contest for the violin, he was unable to continue his studies at the Conservatory of Brussels due to the irruption of WWI. He was a concert pianist and founder of the Orfeó Barceloní. He is known for his sardanes and he is considered the heir of Morera's musical style. His sardana L'ametller, was awarded at the Festa de la Música Catalana in 1920. In addition, he composed symphonic and chamber music, and harmonized folksongs.
