Biografía

Pianist and pedagogue

Daughter of a family with a musical tradition - his father was the conductor Josep Sabater - she studied at the Marshall Academy with Frank Marshall. At the age of thirteen, she debuted at the Palau de la Música with the Orquesta Ibérica de Conciertos (1942) conducted by Hugo Balzer. She specialized in the performance of music by Frederic Mompou and Enric Granados , as well as Albéniz, Falla and Montsalvatge. Professor, from 1977 onwards of the Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg, she combined teaching with an intense concert activity.
