Composer and Performer

Initially trained in Figueres, he moved to Barcelona where he studied under Enric Granados and Felip Pedrell. He later studied under Moritz Moszkowski at the Schola Cantorum in Paris and was considered an excellent student. He was a member of Sala Edison’s sextet ensemble and, before the war, he was a member of Trio Hispania together with the brothers Lluís (violin) and Ricard (cello) Pichot. Married to a Frenchwoman, he resided in France until his death. Some of his sardanes have been preserved.
