Biografía

Organist and composer

He learned music with from his father. He moved to Paris with his brother Francesc and studied at the Schola Cantorum. There, thanks to his friendship with Isaac Albéniz, he came into contact with important figures such as Vincent d’Indy and Erik Satie, among others. He was professor of harmony at the aforementioned institution and organist of the church of Sant Francesc-Xavier. He composed an extensive output, including the opera Canigó (1910) and the symphonic poem Aurora (1913), based on a poem by Alexandre Arnoux.
